Badger Mountain Centennial Preserve Hike

 

Time:                       10:00am – 1:00pm

Place:                       Parking area at Skyline Trail trailhead

What to bring:        Comfortable hiking shoes or boots,

                                water,  snack or lunch, sunscreen,

                                hat, sunglasses

Directions:

  1. Get on Keene Road. Take Keene Road west to Kennedy Road.
  2. Turn left on Kennedy and take it to Dallas Road.
  3. Turn left on Dallas.
  4. Go under I-182 overpass, and continue to the top of the hill.
  5. Turn left to a parking area, up the gravel road.

 

Plan “B” – Canyon Trail

 (in case of miserably hot weather)

 

Time:     10:00am – 1:00pm

Place:     Parking area by cinder block pump house

 

Directions:

  1. Take Keene Road to Shockley Road (near Bethel Church).
  2. Take Shockley to the end.
  3. Turn left on Queensgate and go up the hill.
  4. Park in the parking lot next to the cinder block pump house.
  5. From there, follow the trail around Trailhead (Westcliffe) Park to the trail head at the base of the mountain.
