How To Change Your
Email Password
If you need to change your email password, please fill out the "Changes To Existing Accounts..." section on the Alumni Page form.
Or, just send an email to Randy
Once your identity is verified, your password will be changed, and you will be notified.
Email registrations and passwords cannot be done automatically. Each one is done in person. This is to assure the integrity of the email system, and to discourage automated systems or non-alumni from attempting to register.
Tips for creating a Strong, Safe and Secure Password
- Do not use personal information, such as your last name, pet's name, birthdates, or similar details.
- Do not use real words that are in a dictionary.
- Do not use keyboard patterns or sequences.
- Use a mix of upper and lower case letters, numbers, and punctuation marks.
- Use long passwords; at least six characters, but preferably many more.
- Use a passphrase. Think up a sentence or a line from a favorite song or poem, and create a password using the first letter from each word.
- Don't use the same passwords for email as you do for other accounts, such as banking or online stores.
- Do not use your username as your password.
- Don't store your passwords on your computer; if the computer is stolen, so are all your passwords.
