Olga Tatarow

Hi everybody!!!
I know it took me more than 30 years to get in touch with you but I have finally succeeded in doing so!! Although back in 1988 I stayed in Richland for a few days and got together with Debbie Montgomery and Jackie Wehner.
Anyway, to make a long story short, I came back home in 1978, finished my senior year here AGAIN and went to Buenos Aires (I don`t know if you remember but I`m actually from the south of Argentina, the so called "Patagonia" with its never-ending wind and dust) to pursue my university studies. I graduated in 1984. I studied at a teachers training college. They used to call it ESL ( English as a second language). In 1986 I went back to school and studied American Literature for a year. In 1989 I got married to Alex Quelch; yes!!! from English descent, and we have two wonderful, full of life "young men": Ian (18) and Max (15).
For a very long time I worked at a language school called International House where most of the teachers are English but after 25 years (can you believe it!!!!). I started working at a bilingual private school, ten minutes by car from home and decided to go back to school AGAIN; this time English literature...16th,17th and 18th centuries. I`ve got a paper to submit and the deadline is March 2012 and my teacher said: Do or Die, so I guess I don`t have much of a choice!!!!
Now it`s Alex`s turn. He`s a research manager, the businessman of the family, and I think that our sons will follow his steps.
Ian is at university studying Economìa Empresarial (a blend between Economics and Business Administration).
Max has still two years to go before he starts university. Unlike their mother they are very sporty. The most important thing in the world is FOOTBALL so I seem to bump into all kinds of balls at home, let alone the disgustingly dirty and torn out t-shirts, trainers, shorts and what not!
Alex is more into motor-cycling and gardening; quite an unsusual combination. There`s something about reaching the so-called middle age--I guess you go back to your unfulfilled desires????
I haven`t been to the States for a long time but next time I go I do hope we meet again or if you happen to come to this corner of the world I`ll be your tour guide for sure! I remember all of you and the wonderful time I had back then, and one thing I`ll never forget is the 15 kilos I put on with your rich diet….But it was so much fun!!!! We have a saying in Spanish: Sarna con gusto no pica!! Find out what it means!!!
Lots of love,
Olga
PS: Let`s keep in touch and not wait another 35 years!
