Kim Hopkins

I am a private piano teacher in Puyallup, Washington, with a studio in my home. I enjoy having 31 children come play with me every week. Fun! I have been teaching for 22 years now.

My husband John and I have been married for 27 years. He is a foreman for an asphalt company and works all over Pierce and King County. We laughingly refer to him as our traveling Thomas Guide. John and I enjoy weekly dates, playing games like Cribbage, and keeping a watchful eye on our two moms who both live in our community.

Our two children, John and Kerri are young adults, very active in music, and singing in groups at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma. It is such a privilege to have them singing and playing instruments with us in one of three bands in our church, Lighthouse Christian Center. Our son John is engaged to be married in July 2009.

Our church family is very important to us, and I am involved in the international Bible Study Fellowship on Monday nights as well. Despite the uncertain times, we feel secure in God's hands and are so happy during this season of life. I can't believe we are old enough to say we are looking forward to being grandparents in the next few years!
