Pete Gedde
My how time has flown by!
After graduating from PLU in Tacoma, my wife, Jana and I settled in Olympia, Washington. I have been a teacher/program director for Tumwater School District for the last 26 years. Jana is a teacher for Olympia School District. We will be celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary in August and have 3 almost grown children: Erik-23 is a pilot for Northwest Airlines/Mesaba; Rondi-20 is a junior at Pacific Lutheran University; Kjersti-18 is a freshman at Seattle Pacific University.
Over the last 30 years I have tried to live by the personal philosophy "Carpe Diem - Seize the Day." My wife and I have been blessed with a wonderful family, good health (lots of hours in the local gym), and jobs that provide opportunity to influence the future generations while allowing the wonderful freedom of lots of time off for hiking, climbing and adventuring throughout the year. Music and our church still continue to be a very important part of our lives. Along with my school district responsibilities, I am also a firefighter for Lacey Fire District 3, so life can be pretty busy at times.
I look back with great fondness at my time growing up in Richland and my years at Hanford. What a short window of time in the story of our lives, but what an impact! It has been great to look at all the annual pictures online, and even more exciting to see how time has a way of turning us into "our parents". Ouch!
Blessings to all of you!
